Mutation Combinations

Pink White

The Pink White is a combination of two Dominant mutations, the Tower Beige and Wilson White. The colour of this chinchilla strongly resembles that of the Wilson White, albeit where the you would expect Standard fur showing through, as in a Mosaic or a Silver Wilson White, you see Beige fur instead. The Pink White also carries the ear, eye and tail hair colour of the Beige, and should be a lovely creamy-blue colour.

Breeding Pink Whites

The Pink White mutation has been around on UK show tables for a long time, and is an established mutation of good quality, provided that it has been bred using the best Beiges and Whites, or by using the very best Standards with the Pink White. Some creamyness is allowed from a show perspective, since the addition of Beige colouration through the White naturally lends itself to producing a creamy-beige-white colour. There should always be a blue hue present, which adds to this mutation's attractiveness. As with all Mutations derived from the Wilson White, careful attention should be applied to the fur type, making sure no fur faults such as split grotzens and swirls (like rosettes) in the fur, are present.
